Day 15 ~ How the Simplest of Gestures Make the Most Profound of Impacts

I’ve been thinking a lot about the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and trying to do my best to slow down. It seems like everywhere I look, people are in a such a hurry, and trying to figure out how to get even more accomplished in an already jam-packed amount of time!

And in the process, I see more eyes averting and more frazzled and frustrated faces. I sometimes wonder what it will take for us to slow things down, or if that will ever happen!

I certainly can’t imagine the pace getting much faster, but I suppose someday my grandchildren will look back on my life and laugh at how long it took me to get things done!

Anyhow, as I’m wrapping up a very busy week, I wanted to send out a quick message about the importance of the simple gestures in life that show love, appreciation and acknowledgment.

So in today’s video for Day 15 of my Tribe Mastery 30 Day Video Challenge, I share a great lesson from a simple and loving man named Marty who touched every single life that he came in contact with his simple yet profound gestures.

The book I reference, The Richest Man in Town by V.J. Smith, is a beautiful and quick read and will capture your heart, wake up your spirit and hopefully inspire more conscious choices in your everday interactions.

As i was reading, I couldn’t help but think what a great network marketer Marty would have been!  Or maybe network marketing trainer?  Either way, sign me up! :)

  1. People like Marty are few and far between. It really is amazing how powerful a smile, a handshake, or a warm greeting is in its effect on others.

I remember wishing a man Merry Christmas once; he turned, looked at me with a smile and said, “Thanks, I needed that.”

  2. I agree that simple gestures make big impacts. People like Marty spent only a few minutes with other people and showed love and look at how people responded. In the world today people are too busy even for a hallo but such a small thing can lead to greater things like someone sharing his or her problem and you being able to help out or vice versa. Wonderful post.
