The Rebirth of My Blog

After years away from blogging to have another baby, move across the country, buy our first home, buy 4 UPS stores in the Austin area (that my husband runs while I’m home with the kiddos) and deal with some of those pretty big life challenges that like to present themselves at the most unsuspecting times (always for our growth and evolution if we so choose!), well, I’m finally revamping my blog.

So Welcome to Conscious Choices Wellness: The Revolution Starts Within!

I would first like to give a huge shout-out to the extraordinary Nathalie Villeneuve, who created my gorgeous blog banner! She listened to my vision and delivered to perfection. She first created an oil painting and the logo, per my vision, and then put it together to create my banner. And what a gem of a woman she is, she even sent me the original oil painting! I am in the midst of getting it framed to hang in my office. I am so grateful for Nathalie’s work, and I highly recommend her if you have visual branding or social media needs!

Now for those of you who have known me as Beth Nelson/ Allen the seasoned network marketer, with mixed emotions but complete clarity, I am taking a step away from the industry after 17 years. 15 of those years were fabulous and with one company, but then I had an experience that far too many have, where your company makes some bad decisions, your heart breaks, you get jaded….well, you know the story. I’ve had some fun with a few other companies since then, and mostly I’ve loved the friendships and teams that I’ve been a part of, but nothing has grabbed my heart strings and said, yes, this is worth pouring myself into to build. Honestly, the industry has changed so much over the past several years, and I’ve come to realize it’s just not the place for me, at this time. That being said, I will always have a love and respect for everything that is right and good about the industry. It changed my family’s life is such tremendous ways that I will forever be grateful.

So…back to the rebirth of my blog!

My unwavering passion has always been health. Finding ways to improve my own health, and help others do the same. This passion led me down the path of Personal Training for 7 years, which I loved, but I always felt frustrated knowing that there was way more to the health puzzle than just exercise. Even with writing meal plans for my clients, the psychology major/ counselor in me knew that I could be making more of an impact with my clients. In fact, I think it’s safe to say that my sessions were part bad-ass workout, part therapy! 😉

So that is how I found myself immersed in 2 years of study through the amazing Institute for Integrative Nutrition. What I love most is that IIN bridges the gap between nutrition and personal growth. And that, coupled with my personal training knowledge and life experiences, has become a powerful means to inspire lasting and permanent change in my clients.

My mission is to help women and their families truly live life to the fullest. It really is possible to have consistent energy, vibrant health, and feelings of pure happiness and self-love! With a lifetime of battling various ailments, I definitely did not always think that was possible. In fact, I was positive anyone who said it was was full of it!

But I can sit here today and tell you, with all of my heart, that it IS possible. So my blog posts moving forward will all be about Holsitic Health and Vibrant Living. I will bring you articles on all the super awesome ninja nutrition tips I’ve learned to look and feel fabulous, every day, all day. I will write posts that inspire you to be the best version of yourself, every day, all day. I will share recipes that will have you feeling amazing, every day, all day. And for those of you with little ones, I will support you in being the most present and loving mama you can be, every day, all day. 🙂

My recipes and tips will always be Gluten Free & Dairy Free, because as I will share more about in an upcoming post, I’ve recently shifted my entire family to a GFCF (that’s Gluten Free, Casein Free) lifestyle after my now 2 year old was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder at 18 months. It has been a life-changing, life-enhancing experience for all of us, and it has me wanting to shout from the roof tops every single day! Well yay, blogging allows me to do just that!

woman_beach_arms_1115And if you are looking for support along your journey (I know I always am!), then be sure to read more about my coaching here. I’d love to help you find your inner rock star health warrior! Because I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that she’s in there. Bursting at the seams to emerge! You feel that, don’t you? 🙂

The over-arching theme of all of my posts will be about supporting you in making Conscious Choices so that you and your family thrive, and feel radiantly alive. To me, this is about being mindful about all the ways we choose to nourish ourselves, body, mind and soul. Because this is, I believe, the only path to healing, meaning and true fulfillment in our lives.

So if that’s the path you’re on, then Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here, and I look forward to re-building my readership, getting to know you here in the comments and over on my Facebook Page. All of my old posts are still available in the Archives, but the new categories will begin to fill up with weekly content from here on out.

So Cheers to the Conscious Choices Wellness Revolution! The journey begins now.

  3. So during the last four years I got kind of lazy. And oh, we had another son in 2007. I was getting soft, and honestly, kinda fat. Although it was one of the happiest times of my life, I became concerned that I would not be the fit mother I had always envisioned being. I want to be able to keep up with our three young boys. Frankly, I want as much energy as they have.

Hi Percy~ Motherhood can do that to you! I can relate. While I’m not sure we’ll EVER have as much energy as our kids have ;), there is certainly a lot we can do to have as much energy as we possibly can. It’s not too late to be the fit, energetic mama you envision yourself being….the good news is that you’re a happy mama and have 3 beautiful boys! A several week detox might be a great place to start to reset your system. And if you’re looking for more one on one support, send me a message on my coaching page and we can set up a time to talk. You’re doing an awesome job, mama!
